Miss Devon 2014 - Bikini Boot Camp with Sandstorm Luxury

Torre Abbey recently played host to 20 of Devon's beautiful young women as they attended a Bikini Boot Camp and Photo shoot in preparation for the Miss Devon 2014 finals in April.

At the coaching session, run by the Miss England Swimwear Sponsors Sandstorm Luxury, health and fitness issues and how the contestants could prepare themselves for the Miss England Beach Beauty competition which is also being held in Torquay for a second year this Summer were discussed.

Neither Miss Devon or Miss England parade young women on stage in swimwear as part of the competition. However each contestant is required to show that they take an interest in health and fitness issues and that they are body confident. This element of the competition is very apparent when the individuals take part in a fitness test and a swimwear photo shoot.

Tickets are now on sales for the Miss Devon 2014 grand finals which are being held at The Imperial Hotel in Torquay on 19th April 2014.

Sandstorm luxury swimwear created unique designs for the Beach Beauty heat of Miss England 2013. Finalists modelled the couture swimwear in Torquay, Devon on Monday 3^rd June. Designing pageant swimwear for over four years, Sandstorm has been the official swimwear sponsor for Miss World 2011 and Miss England 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The Miss England finalists were chosen from hundreds of women across the country to represent British women of today. 

The quintessentially English swimwear collection showcased swimwear perfect for real women, of all shapes and sizes.

The 2013 Finals will also take place in Torquay on 16th June 2013, as it is home to the reigning Miss England champion, Charlotte Holmes. 

The photo shoot, organised by Linda Hill of the Torquay Tourist Board, was set on a luxury Yacht and a stunning beach in South Devon, both were perfect settings for these beautiful girls looking their best in Sandstorm Swimwear.  The lovely ladies were also then treated to a journey on a steam train and another photoshoot on a beautiful paddle steamer. 

Once judged, the winner of Beach Beauty and Miss England 2013 will win a holiday to the exotic shores of Mauritius, courtesy of the Mauritian tourism Board, a perfect location and occasion to wear their Sandstorm luxury swimwear as well as the all-important Miss England crown.

Sandstorm sponsors Miss Intercontinental Wales 2012

Meet - Christi Janaé Neveling, she's 18 years old and the current title holder of Miss Intercontinental Wales 2012.  
Christi has been entering beauty pageants since the age of five. She has competed in numerous pageants across the globe, to name a few two of them; Miss Teen World South Africa & Miss Bikini World where she placed first princess in both competition.  
In March 2012 she was crowned Miss Intercontinental Wales 2012. Christi will be joining beauty pageant holders from 70 other countries as they compete for the Miss Intercontinental title.  
Christi who lives in Wales is currently completing her AS levels in Psychology, Law & Health + Social she plans to go onto further my studies by studying an LLB (law degree) in Cardiff, specialising in Human Rights. 
Sandstorm recently met Christi for a swimwear photo shoot and her kind nature and beautiful looks helped us decide to sponsor her swimwear during her Miss Intercontinental Wales reign.   Wearing a Sandstorm leopard print monokini, with a 'bond' type look, Christi looked liked a swimwear superstar on her recent shoot with us.

Christi commented:'I couldn't have had a more wonderful piece to wear for the shoot, I absolutely adored it and loved shooting in it! Definitely one of my favourites of the Sandstorm collection. Frequently being on stage, its so important to have that "perfect costume" and I believe that Sandstorm has embraced this into all of their swimwear, giving beauty queens all the confidence they need when they are on stage as well fitting and hugging the body in all the right places! I'm definitely a Sandstorm addict in the making!

Gorgeous British model Alize Lily Mounter is Miss England 2011 and Miss World Europe 2011/2012 (Alize was crowned Miss World Europe in November 2011).
During her reign, Alize is jetting around the world visitng exotic places, helping charities and offering support and assistance to the Miss World charity - Beauty with a Purpose.
In February 2012 Alize visited Mauritus where she completed a number of offical engagements.

Bikini Auction for Charity ................ Read All About it!

All round gorgeous girlie and friend of Sandstorm Boutique Frankie Holah is running the London Marathon for charity in a few weeks time.

Frankie works for The Variety Club  - www.Variety.org.uk as a Community Funding Manager and she is the Charity’s marathon team captain this year. This is Frankie’s first marathon and for the past 6 months (at least) she has been working hard training and raising funds for the event.

Posing in her first ever official bikini shots, we’re confident they won’t be the last for the newly-crowned national beauty.


Courtenay Hamilton, the stunning brunette from St Donats in the Vale of Glamorgan, stripped down to her swimwear to show off her enviable assets for Wales on Sunday.

With her gorgeous body and flowing locks, it’s no surprise she beat off nearly 50 girls from across the country last weekend for the coveted title.

But the self-confessed adrenaline junkie is more used to covering up her curves – in life jackets and thermal survival suits!

As well as pursuing a classical singing career and working as a teaching assistant, the 20-year old has worked for the RNLI, and even went on an exhibition to the Arctic to collect vital research for global warming.

She said: “I think that’s been the thing that’s tested me most in my life.

“Getting caught up in an Arctic storm in minus 40 degree weather was definitely an experience.

“It’s safe to say I wasn’t in a bikini then though.”

The former lifeboat captain, whose swimwear is sponsored by Sandstorm Boutique, admits she’s proud of her curves, and despite being surrounded by skinnier girls at the Miss Wales competition in St David’s Hall, Cardiff, last weekend, said she felt confident with herself and her gorgeous figure.

She added: “I’m not a believer of the size zero obsession, I prefer women who look healthy, natural and happy.

“In my opinion looking like a real woman is the most beautiful way you can be.

“I love exercising, but I’m not a fan of going to the gym – little matching outfits are not me at all.

“I think you get to that age when you become unsure of your appearance and need to find yourself, but once you come to realise everyone is different and that the way you are is unique and should be praised, you’re well on your way.

“Every girl has hang-ups but confidence is the best look you can have.”
