copies of the infamous red bathing suit poster have been sold since its debut
in 1976.
Farrah was adamant that
images her agents wanted to release of her in various bikinis did not portray
her as she wanted to be considered. So she called on a photographer friend to
come over to her house and try informal
shots in her own swimwear.
Everyone wanted to her pose in a bikini, but Farrah
knew her body and she she felt comfortable posing in her own the red suit and ......
the rest is history!
And so to the
Internationally recognised TV show Baywatch, which today has ICONIC Cult status!
Baywatch premiered on NBC in 1989, but was cancelled after only one season when it
placed 73rd out of 103 shows in the seasonal ratings and also because the
studio, GTG, went out of business.
Feeling the series still
had potential, actor David Hasselhoff along with creators and Executive
Producers Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz and Greg Bonann decided to revive the
show and it was re-run 1991. Hasselhoff was given the title of Executive
Producer for his work on bringing the show back and ..... the rest is history! Well, that was after men and women across the globe fell in love with it's gorgeous actors and actresses who wore the red swimwear so well.
Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra both looked incredible in the high leg cut suit and .....the rest is history!
