Top tips for Cruise Wear - how to look cool by the pool, stunning at formal dinners and more .....

For many holiday goers going on a Cruise offers the perfect get away. It provides an opportunity to relax, have fun and see the world. A cruise allows you to explore different ports, enjoy amazing cuisine, on board entertainment or pure relaxation by the pool.

But what do you take in your luggage when your holiday is so diverse?
Your cruise wardrobe needs to accommodate multiple situations, to include; looking cool by the pool, stunning at formal dinners and chic when visiting the exotic ports.
Here are our five top tips that will ensure you look fabulous on every occasion:
A classic formal gown: Let's start with one of the most important key pieces, a versatile evening dress which is appropriate for formal dinners and events. If you're working to a budget then you want to pick something beautiful and sophisticated that can be reworked into several looks with the addition of different statement jewellery. Aim for a colour that suits your skin tone in a simple shape made of luxurious fabric that hangs well. Something floor length always looks more glamorous than a cocktail dress. A slick of vibrant lipstick or a change of hairstyle will also enable you to change the look of one dress.

Statement Accessories: Statement jewellery can transform an outfit! Keep your packing minimal by taking several key pieces that will change the look and style of several outfits. Remember to pack a big pair of sunglasses as they’ll look tres chic as you explore local markets when you dock in the exotic ports and a big floppy hat will offer you shade and style as you lounge by the pool. Stick to natural materials as brightly coloured plastics can look tad tacky.

Basic separates in block colours: For exploring the ship, taking part in more informal events or going ashore you want appropriate clothing that is comfortable and cool. By taking basic separates in complimentary colours you can mix and match your outfits so you never wear the same look twice. Take a pair of flat gold or brown leather sandals and team with a roomy day bag and you you’ll be ready for anything!

Day to evening dresses: As we're sure you've worked out, the secret to successful packing is to take clothes that can work for more than one occasion. A few loose summer dresses with sandals and a chunky bangle will work well in any informal setting. Add a pair of gorgeous heels, some bronzer, eyeliner and lovely lip gloss and you’ll ready for dinner and the disco.

Gorgeous swimwear: Last but by no means least, every suitcase must include some gorgeous swimwear to be shown off around the pool. Take several good quality, swimsuits or bikinis (which ever style you feel more comfortable wearing) and to stand out from the crowd be daring and get something a little unusual maybe a beautiful cut out bathing suit or something in a bold pattern. Throw on a pair of loose trousers, a play suit or a long flowing kaftan over the top of your swimming costume and the look will take you from the poolside to a yummy lunch.
Cruises are brilliant way to see the world in a stress free way. So pack up your bag with our essentials and set sail for the holiday of a lifetime!
